2010 Alaska State Fair AT&T Borealis Concert Series
Hinder
August 26, 2010 @ 7pm

presented by Beck's Bier & 106.5 KWHL
Budweiser

KWHL

Their name may be Hinder, but nothing’s standing in the way of these rockers’ success. What began as a cover band in Oklahoma City has grown into a mainstream rock sensation, complete with a triple platinum debut album, millions of fans and a non-stop touring schedule.

Combining raw riffs with big hooks and vocal harmonies, Hinder takes their cues from rock legends like Aerosmith, AC/DC, KISS and Guns N’ Roses, and updates them with modern guitar sounds. The result can be seen in their 2005 debut album, “Extreme Behavior,” which featured the singles “Lips of an Angel” and “Get Stoned.” The album eventually sold more than 3 million copies.

Hinder followed that success up with their second album, “Take it to the Limit,” released in 2008. Billed as equally rowdy but more melodic than the band’s first release, “Take it to the Limit” includes the singles “Use Me,” “Without You” and “Loaded and Alone,” and features Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars on the title track. Hinder combines the talents of Austin Winkler (vocals), Joe “Blower” Garvey (guitar), Mark King (guitar), Mike Rodden (bass) and Cody Hanson (drums).
