he multi-platinum, country/pop crossover superstars of Lonestar are bringing the “Party Heard Around the World” to Alaska!
The band is known both for their strong country roots as well as their multi-genre crossover appeal that’s led to a history of success on the pop/rock charts. Since their 1995 debut with the Top 10 single “Tequila Talkin’,” the Tennessee-based, Texas-influenced group has amassed nearly 30 singles on the country charts , including 10 No. 1 hits, as well as nine songs making it to the Top 40 pop charts.
Early hits included “No News” and “Come Cryin’ to Me,” but it was the 1999 “Amazed” that brought about Lonestar’s crossover success. The song reached No. 1 on both the country charts and the Billboard Hot 100, making Lonestar the first country act since Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton in 1983 to accomplish this career milestone. Other No. 1 hits from Lonestar included “I’m Already There,” “My Front Porch Looking In,” “Smile,” “What About Now” and “Tell Her.”
To date, Lonestar has sold more than 10 million albums – a number that is already growing with the release of their latest album, “Party Heard Around the World.” Released in April, it’s the group’s first studio album in four years and features hits in the making such as “You’re the Reason Why” and “Making Memories.”
Lonestar consists of original members Dean Sams (keyboard), Keech Rainwater (drums) and Michael Britt (lead guitar), as well as lead vocalist Cody Collins, who joined the group in 2007. |
