Country music fans will easily remember Darryl Worley, with his six albums and 17 chart hits, including “Have You Forgotten,” “Awful, Beautiful Life” and his latest single, “Sounds Like Life to Me.”

Through his career, the modern country singer-songwriter has topped the charts with singles including “I Miss My Friend,” “A Good Day to Run,” “When You Need My Love” and “Second Wind,” as well as smashes such as “If Something Should Happen,” “I Just Came Back From a War” and “Tennessee River Run.” His sixth – and latest – album features the Top 20 single, “Sounds Like Life to Me.”

For his efforts, Worley has sold nearly two million albums, and earned nominations for five major ACM and CMA awards, including song of the year and single of the year. He has also written songs for other major artists, including George Jones.

Originally from Hardin County, Tenn., Worley comes from a musical family – his grandfather played old country and bluegrass and his mother sang in church. Worley started his music career writing songs for $150 a week. He signed to Nashville’s EMI Publishing and made his way to Nashville in 1994. In 1999, he earned the label deal that put him on the fast track to becoming the mainstay of modern country music that he is today.
