2010 Alaska State Fair AT&T Borealis Concert Series
The Jake & Elwood Blues Review
September 2, 2010 @ 7pm

Direct from Universal Studios Orlando, the Jake and Elwood Blues Revue is a Blues Brothers tribute officially sanctioned by Dan Aykroyd and the John Belushi Estate. Based in Orlando, Fla., the cast has performed for more than 10 years as Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues, characters created and played by comedians Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as part of a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live.

These amazing impersonators, along with their high-energy dance band, put on an interactive show complete with all of the familiar songs from Saturday Night Live and the 1980 hit movie “The Blues Brothers,” such as “Soul Man,” “Everybody Needs Somebody,” “Gimme Some Lovin’” “Rawhide” and “Sweet Home Chicago.”

A mainstay at Universal Studios Orlando and the No. 1 act at the House of Blues in Orlando, they have gone on to perform for more than 5,000 corporations around the world. They’ve also been featured at the Country Music Awards and NASCAR Daytona 500 opening ceremonies, and on USA Up All Night, The Today Show, CBS This Morning, Nickelodeon, The Travel Channel, The Home Show, Good Morning America, and America’s Funniest People, among others.

The Jake and Elwood Blues Revue has also opened for many headline acts such as KC and the Sunshine Band, Steve Winwood, Hall and Oates, The Commodors, and The Backstreet Boys, and have performed with the original Blues Brothers Band.
