Shinedown
September 3, 2010 @ 7pm

presented by Miller Genuine Draft

Since forming in 2001, success has certainly shone down on the Florida-based rock band, Shinedown. Their first two albums, 2003’s platinum “Leave a Whisper” and 2005’s gold “Us and Them,” yielded seven consecutive Top Five rock and alternative radio hits that included “Fly From the Inside,” “45,” the chart-topping “Save Me,” and a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.”

Shinedown adTheir third album, “The Sound of Madness,” was released in 2008 and is called the band’s boldest effort to date, from the hard rocking single, “Devour,” to the radio smash “Second Chance,” and the popular love song, “If You Only Knew.” Two of Shinedown’s songs – “Second Chance” and “Her Name is Alice” – are also featured on the “Almost Alice” soundtrack released in 2010.

Shinedown has built a reputation as a hot live band with an insatiable appetite for the road. They’re currently taking “The Sound of Madness” on tour, performing in London, Canada and across the U.S. with the likes of Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, and Lifehouse.

Frontman and vocalist Brent Smith formed Shinedown with drummer Barry Kerch nine years ago in Jacksonville, Fla. The duo is now joined by Eric Bass (bass, piano, vocals) and Zach Myers (guitar).
