Fair Welcomes Three New Employees
The Alaska State Fair recently welcomed three new members to its team. Jennifer Andreacchi joined the Fair as marketing and development assistant, while Roxie Mayberry is the Fair’s new associate director of corporate partnerships, and Rebecca Marhenke accepted the position of facilities rental assistant.
In her position as marketing and development assistant, Andreacchi assists Fair marketing director Dean Phipps with all marketing efforts and related administrative tasks. Andreacchi, who holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage, has more than 12 years of corporate business experience. Most recently, she was the technical communications coordinator for RISE Alaska. She has also held diverse positions within industries including oil and gas, engineering, construction, and tourism and hospitality. Andreacchi, a 13-year resident of Alaska, currently lives with her daughter in Palmer, where they enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, snowboarding and building snowmen.
As the associate director of corporate partnerships, Mayberry is tasked with creating new sources of revenue for the Fair by developing corporate partnerships, sponsorships and other donors. Mayberry, who attended Utah State University, has more than 18 years of management and sales experience, mainly as a business manager and owner. Most recently, she was the residential sales supervisor for MTA in Wasilla. In addition to her work at the Fair, Mayberry is also a professional photographer who owns a portrait studio and a printing business. Originally from Utah, Mayberry moved to Alaska in 2007. She now lives in Palmer with her husband and five children. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, camping, hiking and gardening with her family.
Marhenke, the Fair’s new facilities rental assistant, is working with administrative services manager Jerry Baker to assist with front office reception duties and facility rentals. A graduate of Matanuska Susitna College, Marhenke has more than 10 years of office administration experience in the fine arts/nonprofit, tourism/hospitality and higher education industries. Previously, Marhenke worked as an administrative associate for the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra. She is also a Pampered Chef consultant and enjoys teaching customers how to make inexpensive and nutritious meals. A 21-year resident of Alaska, Marhenke resides in Wasilla with her husband and three children. As a family, they enjoy snowboarding, gardening, hiking, fishing and road trips.
